
Crochet along with this beginner friendly pattern to make one of these lovely cowls, perfect for this time of year to pop on whilst you are out and about christmas shopping or to make as a gift for somebody 🙂

MATERIALS
- 5MM Crochet hook
- 6mm Crochet hook
- 250g of Aran yarn (I used Stylecraft Special Aran with Wool in Colour Grey Jazz and also in Dijon)
- Darning needle
- Scissors
- Tape measure
- Stitch markers
ABBREVIATIONS
- ch – chain
- dc – uk double crochet (us single crochet
- htc – uk half treble crochet (us half double crochet)
- tc – uk treble crochet (us double crochet)
- blo – back loop only
- sk – skip
- st – stitch
woohoo its time to put your feet up grab your yarn and hooks and lets get started
- ch38
- ROW 1 – dc in the 2nd ch from the hook and dc into every ch across [37 sts}
- ROW 2 – ch3 and turn (ch3 counts as a tc here and throughout the pattern) tc into the 1st st , *sk 2 sts, 3tc into the next st* Repeat 10 times, 2tc into top of last st
- ROW 3 – ch3 and turn, 3tc into the next space and in every space along, 1tc into the last st
- ROW 4 – ch3 and place 1tc into the first st, 3tc into the next space and every space along 2tc into the top of the last st
- ROW 5 – 60 repeat rows 3 and 4
- USE THE 6MM HOOK FOR THE LAST 7 ROWS
- ROW 61 – ch1[does not count as a st here or for the remaining rows] and turn 1 htc in every st [37sts]
- ROW 62 – ch1 and turn loosely sl st into the 3rd loop of every st across in every st [37sts]
- ROW 63 – ch1 and turn, place 1 blo htc in every st across [37sts]
- row 64 – ch1 and turn loosely sl st into the 3rd loop of every st across in every st [37sts]
- ROW 65 – ch1 and turn, place 1 blo htc in every st across [37sts]
- ROW 66 – ch1 and turn loosely sl st into the 3rd loop of every st across in every st [37sts]
- ROW 67 – ch1 and turn and place 1 blo dc in every st across [37 sts]
- ch1 fasten off and weave in loose ends
