Sooooo we have made a stocking for the Humans in our life and now it is time to make stockings for the real VIPS in our life our beautiful Furbabies…….. This is a perfect size to fill with lots of little treats and toys for your pets this Christmas I hope thta you have as much fun with this pattern as I did designing it 🙂
MATERIALS
- Aran Yarn – Two Colours (Colour A – Red 70g, Colour B – Cream 40g)
- 5mm Hook
- Scissors
- Darning Needle
- Stitch Marker
ABBREVIATIONS
- Ch – Chain
- ST/STS – Stitch/Stitches
- SL ST – Slip Stitch
- TC – Treble Crochet [UK] Double Crochet [US]
- DC – Double Crochet [UK] Single Crochet [US]
- HTC – Half Treble Crochet [UK] / Half Double Crochet [US]
- Inc – Increase
- BLO – Back Loop Only
- DC2TOG – Double Crochet 2 Together [UK] Single Crochet 2 Together [US]
Notes and Special Stitches
Throughout this pattern your first st of every round will be in the same st that you sl st to join and where your ch1 id coming from
Special Stitch – Treble Double Crochet Decrease – insert hook into next st and pull up a loop, insert hook into the next st and pull up a loop, insert your hook into the next st and pull up a loop you should now have 4 loops on your hook, yarn over and pull through all loops

Written Pattern
Making the toes
In Colour A – you will need to make two small toes and two large toes the small toes you will finish at Round
Make a MR and Ch1
R1 – 6DC around the MR, sl st to join, Ch1 and close the MR [6sts]
R2 – 1DC inc in every st around, sl st to join and Ch1 [12sts]
R3 – *1DC increase, 1DC* Repeat 6 times, sl st to join and Ch1 [18sts]
R4 – *DC increase, DC, DC* Repeat 6 times, sl st to join [24sts]
R5 – 1 DC into every st, sl st to join [24sts]
R6 – 1 DC into every st, sl st to join [24sts] for the two smaller toes you will fasten off at this point
R7 – 1dc into every st, sl st to koin and fatsten off for the two larger toes
Joining the toes and making the Paw

R1 – Take one of your small toes and join Colour A with a sl st and Ch1 (I like to join my yarn where the seam is) Place 1dc onto the same st as you have joined and 1DC in the next 11 sts, next take one of your large toes insert your hook into your large toe and place 1 DC, place 1 DC in the next 11 sts, Take your 2nd large toe and insert your hook and place 1DC, Place 1DC in the next 11 sts, take your last little toe that you made and insert your hook and place 1dc, place 1dc in every remaining st, sl st to join and Ch1[96sts]
R2 – *DC Dec, 1DC in the next 6sts* Repeat all the way around, sl st to join and Ch1 [84sts}
R3 – *DC Dec, 1DC in the next 5sts* Repeat all the way around, sl st to join and Ch1 [72sts]
R4 – *1DC into the 1st 3 sts, HTC , 1TC in the next 28 sts, HTC, 1DC in the next 3 sts* repeat Twice, sl st to join and Ch1 [72sts]
R5 – (1DC into the 1st 4 sts, 1htc into the next 2 sts, *1DC dec, 1DC in the next 2 sts* Repeat 6 times. 1 HTC in the next 2 sts, 1DC in the next 4 sts) Repeat Twice, sl st to join and Ch1 [60sts]
R6 – (1DC into the 1st 4 sts, 1HTC into the next 2 sts, *1DC decrease, 1DC in the next st* Repeat 6 times. 1HTC in the next 2 sts, 1DC in the next 4 sts) Repeat Twice, sl st to join and Ch1 [48sts]
R7 – *1DC into the 1st 4 sts, 1HTC into the next 2 sts, 1TC into the next 12 sts, 1HTC into the next 2 sts, 1DC into the next 4 sts* Repeat Twice. sl st to join and Ch1 [48sts]
R8 – (1DC into the 1st 4 sts, 1HTC into the next 2 sts, *TC dec, 1TC into the next 2 sts* Repeat 3 Times. 1HTC into the next 2 sts, 1DC into the next 4 sts) Repeat Twice, sl st to join and Ch1 [42sts]
R9 – *1DC into the 1st 4 sts, 1HTC into the next 2 sts, 1TC into the next 9 sts, 1HTC into the next 2 sts, 1DC into the next 4 sts* Repeat Twice, sl st to join and Ch1 [42sts]
R10 – 1DC in every st around, sl st to join and Ch1 [42sts]
R11 – *1DC inc, 1DC in the next 6 sts* Repeat 6 times, sl st to join and Ch1 [48sts]
R12 – 29 – Place 1DC in every st around, sl st to join and Ch1 [48sts]. On row 29 once you have sl st to join ch 1 and fasten off we will work the cuff in Colour B
ADDING THE CUFF
attach colour B to your work in the same place your seam is and Ch1
R30 – *1DC in the 1st 23 sts, 1DC inc* Repeat Twice, sl st to joing and Ch1 [50sts]
R31 – TURN your work before you work round 31 place 1DC in every st around, sl st to join and Ch1 [50sts]
R32 – 37 – Place 1DC in every st around, sl st to join and Ch1 [50sts] once you have finished round 37 fasten off and weave in lose ends. your cuff should fold down over your stocking at this point 🙂
Making the Toe Pads
I make my Toe pads in Colour B – You will need to make four of the toe pads
CH6
R1 – starting in the 2nd ch from the hook Place 1DC in the 1st 4 Chs, into the next ch place 3DC, next working down the back of your chs place 1DC in the next 3 chs and place 1DC Inc into the last ch, sl st to join and Ch1 [12sts]
R2 – DC Inc, 1DC into the next 3 sts, *DC Inc* Repeat 3 times. 1DC into the next 3 sts, *DC Inc* Repeat Twice, sl st to join and Ch1 [18sts]
R3 – 1DC inc into the 1st st, DC, HTC, TC, HTC, *DC inc, DC into the next st* Repeat 3 Times. HTC, TC, HTC, *DC inc, DC* Repeat Twice, sl st to join and fasten off leaving a long enough lose end to sew the toe pads to your stocking. You can weave in the lose end from starting the toe pad at this point [24sts]
Making the Heart Shaped Pad
Taking Colour B make a slip knot and Ch 18
R1 – Starting in the 2nd ch from the hook place 1DC, Place 1DC in the next 7 Chs, Place 3 DC into the next Ch, place 1dc in the next 7 chs, into the last ch place 3DC, now working along the back of the chs place 1DC in the next 6 sts, make a triple DC Dec over the next 3 sts, 1DC into the next 6 sts, into the last st place 1dc inc, sl st to join and Ch1 [36sts]
R2- DC Inc, 1DC into the next 8sts, 3DC into the next st, 1DC into the next 8 sts, *DC Inc* Repeat 3 Times. 1DC into the next 5 sts, make a triple DC Dec over the next 3 sts, 1DC into the next 5 sts *DC Inc* Repeat Twice, sl st to join and Ch1 [42sts]
R3 – DC Inc, 1DC into the next 10sts, 3DC into the next st, 1DC into the next 9 sts, *DC Inc, 1dc* Repeat 3 Times. 1DC into the next 4sts, make a triple DC Dec over the next 3 sts, 1DC into the next 4 sts *DC Inc, 1DC* Repeat Twice, sl st to join and Ch1 [48sts]
R4 – DC Inc, 1DC into the next 12sts, 3DC into the next st, 1DC into the next 10sts, *DC Inc, DC, DC* Repeat 3 Times. 1DC into the next 3sts, make a triple DC Dec over the next 3 sts, 1DC into the next 3sts *DC Inc, DC, DC* Repeat Twice, sl st to join and Ch1 [54sts]
R5 – DC Inc, 1DC into the next 14sts, 3DC into the next st, 1DC into the next 11sts, *DC Inc, DC, DC, DC* Repeat 3 Times. 1DC into the next 2sts, make a triple DC Dec over the next 3 sts, 1DC into the next 2sts *DC Inc, DC, DC, DC* Repeat Twice, sl st to join and Ch1 and fasten off leaving a long enough lose end to sew the Heart to the stocking [60sts]
Making the Hanger
Make the Hanger using Colour B
Ch 21
R1 – Starting in the 2nd Ch from the hook place 1DC in every ch along, Ch1 and fasten off [20sts] I like to attach my hanger on the inside on the last two Rounds of Colour A
Now all that is left to do is postion your toe and paw pads and sew them on to you stocking ready to fill with lost of special Christmas treats for your lucky Furbabies
