
Hi Everybody :)))) Hope you are all having a lovely Sunday………. ITS FREE PATTERN TIME YAY! I have designed some Christmas decorations (I am going to use them on my tree and on my gift wrapping) they have a little pocket on the back so you can pop a Christmas treat in each one, I have filled them with chocolate coins and they fit perfectly :)))))))) Hope you enjoy this pattern and happy hooking :))))))))))
Materials
● 4mm Crochet hook
● Stitch marker
● Darning needle
● Scissors
● Craft Jingle bells (mine measure 10mm in diameter and are available on amazon)
● Double Knit Yarn (I have used a combination of the following yarns…… Style craft special dk in Pale Rose, Silver and Mushroom. Kingcole Glitz in Ice White and Rico Design Fashion Cotton Metallise DK in Silver and Gold
● Chocolate Coins or your favourite treats :)))))))
Abbreviations
Ch = Chain
DC = Double Crochet (US Single Crochet) HTC = Half Treble Crochet (US Half Double crochet)
sl st = Slip Stitch sk st = Skip Stitch
st = stitch

To begin make a Magic ring
Round 1 – place 10 htc into magic ring and pull on loose end to close the ring, sl st to 1st st of the round and ch1 [10sts]
Round 2 – 1htc increase in every st, sl st to 1st st to join and ch1 [20sts]
Round 3 – *1htc increase, htc* repeat 9 times, sl st to 1st st to join and ch1 [30sts]
Round 4 – *1htc increase, htc, htc* repeat 9 times, sl st to 1st st to join, ch1, fasten off and weave in loose ends [40sts]

Make a magic ring
Row 1 – place 5 htc into the magic ring pull gently on the loose end to make a semicircle, ch1 and turn [5sts]
Row 2 – 1htc increase into every sts, ch1 and turn [10sts]
Row 3 – *1htc increase, 1htc* repeat 4 times, ch1 and turn [15sts]
Round 4 – *1htc increase, htc, htc* repeat 3 times, htc inc, htc and into the last st place 1htc and (you will change colour here if you are using two colours) 1 dc. We will next work 8dc evenly across the straight edge place the 8th dc in the same st that the 1st st of the round was made, sl st to join ch 1 fasten off and weave in loose ends [29sts]
Joining the two sides and edging (Please take a look at the video tutorial if you need support completing the edging and completing this project)
Holding the front and back pieces together right sides facing out insert your through a st on the front side and the 1st st of round 4 on the back side of the work and sl st together
Into the next st (2htc,ch2,2htc), *sk 2 sts, into the next st along (2htc,ch2,2htc)* Repeat 7 times, sk 2 sts and sl st into the 3rd st, Ch16 and sl st back into the same st to make the loop to hang your bauble
*sk 2 sts, into the next st along (2htc,ch2,2htc)* Repeat once, sk 2 sts, sl st into the 4th st, sl st to to 1st st of the round to join, ch1, fasten off and week in loose ends and attach your jingle bells :))))))
